The purpose of this document sets outs Genletics’ intent and objectives in how client’s data and information is utilised, managed and protected to ensure privacy of an individual’s data and information and compliance with UK regulatory/statutory data requirements.

Genletics aims to be a ground-breaking fitness brand at the forefront of personalised fitness where an individual’s desire and quest for science-backed personalised performance training is continually influenced by an individual’s biology and the many processes that affect a person’s physiology. It is through the application of specific analytical processes that Genletics collects, analyses, interprets and reports an individual’s data and information which provides an optimal time for workout and maximising performance gains. It is through the application of this policy, supporting processes and procedures that ensures Genletics treats the data and information of a client with the importance and privacy it deserves.

Scope

This policy is applicable to the personal data collated for all Genletics clients and personnel employed by Genletics.

  • Effective control mechanisms are in place that safeguard the privacy of a client’s data and information.

  • The transparency of a client’s data and information.

  • Compliance with UK regulatory/statutory requirements for data and information.

  • This policy is governed and remains fit for purpose.

  • A client’s data and information is stored securely.

  • The personal data and information obtained from/about a client is only used for the purposes as described in the context of this policy

  • The visibility and accessibility of this policy is available to all Genletics’ clients.

  • The categories and types of information required are defined and consistent for each client

  • Understanding by the client of the payment requirements and requirement that payment is made in advance.

  • Genletics services, processes and procedures remain effective and fit for purpose now and in the future by the internal use of client’s data and information.

  • Genletics will only share a client’s personal data and information if compelled by law to do so.

  • The retention of specific financial data and information follows the requirements of HMRC accounting requirements.

  • Clients understand the responsibility of not sharing data and/or information that could compromise their and/or Genletics data security.

  • That this policy remains fit for purpose and amended to reflect any changes in applicable law.

  • That Genletics’ IT system is effective in capturing clients data and information.

  • Genletics’ process and procedures are audited for compliance with legal and contractual requirements.

  • The retention of personal data and information is retained for as long as reasonably practical for the purposes of meeting the objectives in this policy.

  • The data generated by Genletics can be used for R&D and knowledge dissemination, but cannot be used to identify an individual.
